February and March brought some wonderful opportunities to welcome back some of what we put on pause with COVID-19. Our annual speech tournament returned with students K-8 memorizing poems, performing story books, and giving speeches with a variety of types and topics. We also welcomed back our all school weekly mass with our entire school attending together in accordance with current COVID-19 protocols. Ash Wednesday brought a special time to come together as a school community, all students receiving ashes in our own special school mass as we began the Lenten season.
As we look ahead, we look forward to more community events such as 1st Reconciliation for our 2nd graders, and our annual gala auction (with special online auction addition). As we finish the last few weeks of Lent, let us remember that Christ brought us out of the darkness and into His light. May we take time this Easter holiday and beyond to share that light with the world.
